Volunteers are the very Backbone of Albuquerque Meals on Wheels.
Giving of their valuable time and money is a selfless act that allows us
to continue to meet the nutritional needs of the frail, elderly, and
homebound citizens in our area. Below are the areas where you may find
volunteers working Monday through Friday:

Kitchen Volunteers are needed one or
two mornings a week for 2-3 hours at the Northside Presbyterian site.
Duties include packing food items and packing cold sacks. Hours are
8:00am - 10:00am or 9:00am - 11:00pm.

Kitchen Office Volunteers are needed
one or two mornings a week for about three hours at the Northside
Presbyterian site. Duties include matching up menus to meal sacks and
lids and putting labels on meal sacks and lids. Hours are 9:00am -
12:00pm.

Administrative Office Volunteers are needed one or
two mornings a week for about three hours at the Northside Presbyterian
site. Duties include general office help, answering phones, stuffing
envelopes, etc. Hours are 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Drivers are needed one day a week or
as a substitute when needed for about two hours. Duties include
delivering a hot nourishing meal to our clients. Meals are picked up
at 10:30am at one of our hospital sites.

Coordinators are needed one day a week
or as a substitute when needed for about 3 to 4 hours in the middle of the
day at one of our hospital sites. Duties include functioning as a
liaison between kitchen, drivers, and Meals on Wheels main office.
Hours are 10- 1:00pm.
