Corporate Volunteers - MOW VIP Driver Program

(Business/Organization Volunteer Driver Program)

We know that many businesses and organizations like to have community outreach programs to involve their employees. Here's how it works:

  • Business/organizations agree to deliver meals one day per week.

  • Business/organizations volunteer Meals on Wheels drivers pick up meals from the distribution site and deliver them to one of 33 routes. (The whole meal delivery process takes approximately 2 hours. The employee usually donates his/her lunch hour and the organization covers the balance of the time needed to deliver the meals.)

  • Pam Webb, Director of Client & Volunteer Services will orient drivers as to the program and its requirements.

Current participants tell us that if anyone has to drop off the driver list, they put out an e-mail and always get a lot of responses for replacements. It seems the drivers (two will go together) really enjoy serving these frail, elderly and quite vulnerable individuals.

Please call Pam Webb (823-8061) or email her if you are interested in participating in this great program!
