Our program is currently the only one of its kind in the Albuquerque area.
We provide our services to any one of any age. There are no restrictions for age or disability. We help you or your loved one stay happy, healthy and independent.
Hot, frozen, breakfast, lunch or dinner – a home-delivered meal ensures clients receive needed nutrition with a friendly face and wellness check. Eight different diet types are prepared fresh daily in our own kitchens. No contracts to sign or qualifications to meet.
Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque has close to 400 volunteers who staff four different sites in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, participate in fundraising activities, work in the Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque kitchen and office, and/or deliver meals to the homebound to provide social interaction to meal recipients.
Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque receives no government funding. We rely on the kindness of people like you to keep our wheels turning. Every gift, no matter how small, means another homebound person will receive nutritious meals.
- Our “Love on a Leash” Pet Program provides healthy food and more to our clients’ pets.
- Our “Local Harvest” program allows us to purchase locally farmed fruits and vegetables for use in our meals.
- Our “Weekend Pantry Box” program allows our Low Income clients to eat food on days we normally don’t deliver.
Events are a fun and easy way to help support Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque! Our Gingerbread Enchantment is a wonderful, one-of-a-kind event for all ages. Food, fun and merriment is had by all – there’s even a visit from Santa!
