How did you come to MOW?

“I came to Meals on Wheels as a volunteer in August of 2010 to fulfill a service learning requirement for a class at CNM. The very first day, I felt like I was “home” and changed my major to culinary arts. Serving others has become my passion because of my rewarding career at MOW.”

What do you want to leave behind as your legacy to MOW?

“I want my Meals on Wheels legacy to include the organization being strong, sustainable, and well-run. Serving delicious and nutritious food while making a difference in the daily lives of as many New Mexicans as possible is also very important to me.”

Anything fun our donors should know about you?

The most unusual thing about me that most people don’t know is that I am part of the 6% of all private pilots in the world that are women. I have been flying since I was about 17 years old but didn’t get my certificate until I was almost 50. Time and money keep me from going very often, but I am  always looking to the sky when I hear a plane overhead.”
